Royal Caribbean Takes Delivery Of Wonder Of The Seas

Royal Caribbean has taken delivery of its newest ship; Wonder of the Seas is the cruise line’s biggest ship and weighs at 236,857 gross tons, is 1188 feet long, and can accommodate up to 6988-passengers, according to an article published by TravelPulse.com.

The biggest ship in the world and the first of its class to feature eight unique neighbourhoods including the luxurious new Suite Neighborhood, Wonder of the Seas offers even more room for onboard adventure, palate-pleasing dining and awe-inspiring entertainment.

Delivered to Royal Caribbean by the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, Wonder of the Seas is now headed to Marseilles for final finishes.

Originally to be based in Shanghai, Wonder’s first cruise is set to sail to the Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, Florida in March 2022 before kicking off vacations in the Mediterranean from Barcelona and Rome in May 2022.

Families and travellers of all ages have a new wave of possibilities across Wonder’s eight distinct neighbourhoods, a Royal Caribbean first.

There will be all-new features such as the Suite Neighborhood, a cantilevered pool bar named The Vue, and Wonder Playscape – an interactive, open-air kids’ play area with awe-inspiring views. Returning favourites are also in store, like The Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea; Central Park, the neighbourhood filled with real plants from end to end; the vibrant Caribbean-inspired pool deck experience and much more.
