Flights will begin on 11 January 2027 and operate every Monday. The new route builds on the airline’s Sharm El Sheikh service from London Gatwick, and will also complement its existing services from London Luton to Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh and Cairo.
With year-round sunshine, miles of coastline and some of the Red Sea’s best-known coral reefs, Hurghada is one of Egypt’s leading holiday destinations. Travellers can dive and snorkel in its clear waters, explore the city’s marina and old town, or venture into the surrounding desert.
The new connection further strengthens Wizz Air’s UK network and reflects the airline’s continued commitment to providing UK travellers with affordable, convenient fares to popular holiday destinations.
Yvonne Moynihan, Managing Director at Wizz Air UK, said: “As the scorcher of a summer draws to a close, the rain returns, and thoughts turn to escaping the colder months ahead, our new Hurghada route is welcome news for anyone already dreaming of their next dose of sunshine.
“Egypt’s Red Sea coast has so much to offer, whether you want to relax on the beach, discover its incredible marine life or explore somewhere new. With Hurghada joining our existing Gatwick service to Sharm El Sheikh, our customers will have even more choice when it comes to an affordable winter escape. We look forward to welcoming our first passengers on board in January.”
